Position: COOK
Key Responsibilities:

• Menu Development:
• Design and develop a menu that showcases Ilonggo dishes such as La Paz Batchoy, Chicken Inasal, Kansi, and Pancit Molo.
• Experiment with and introduce new dishes, ensuring that they are aligned with the restaurant’s culinary vision.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared with authentic Ilonggo flavors, using traditional ingredients and techniques.
• Food Preparation and Cooking:
• Oversee the preparation and cooking of all meals, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
• Prepare dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients, with a focus on Ilonggo cuisine.
• Manage portion control and plating for each dish, ensuring high-quality presentation.
• Kitchen Management:
• Supervise and train kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of Ilonggo dishes and other menu items.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage inventory and order supplies, focusing on sourcing authentic Ilonggo ingredients.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
• Continuously seek feedback from customers and staff to improve recipes and kitchen operations.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the restaurant management team to plan seasonal menus, special events, and promotions featuring Ilonggo cuisine.
• Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
• Cost Management:
• Monitor food costs and control waste, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
• Develop cost-effective recipes and techniques to maximize the use of ingredients.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Cook or similar role, with expertise in Ilonggo cuisine.
• Knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php16,000.00 - Php18,000.00 per month
