Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team at Quezon City. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction in all guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, a passion for service excellence, and a thorough understanding of housekeeping operations in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning, maintenance, and organization of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and laundry facilities.
  • Ensure that all rooms are cleaned, inspected, and prepared to meet the hotel's quality standards and guest expectations.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Staff Supervision and Training:
  • Recruit, train, and manage housekeeping staff, including room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry personnel.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback and coaching, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely ordering.
  • Monitor and control costs by implementing efficient purchasing, usage, and storage practices.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to minimize waste and prevent loss.
Quality Control and Inspection:
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Address any issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, or guest complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain a robust quality control program to ensure continuous improvement.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions and drills for the housekeeping team.
  • Maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all cleaning chemicals and ensure safe handling and storage practices.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
  • Coordinate with the front office, maintenance, and food and beverage departments to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the front office team regarding room status updates and guest requests.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any repair or maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the housekeeping department budget, including labor costs, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Prepare regular reports on departmental performance, including key metrics such as occupancy, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and labor laws in the Philippines is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
