HSE Training Officer

This role is responsible for planning, design, conduct and evaluation of HSE training and awareness programs in Austal Philippines. The role oversees HSE training and development of employees in compliance to regulatory and management system requirements, AP policies, procedures, and processes to meet overall company objectives effectively and efficiently.
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Essential
- A minimum of at least 3 years of Supervisory experience in HSE role in shipbuilding industry, manufacturing environment or similar setting.
- Accredited OSH Practitioner with OSHC (certificate must be active at the time of hiring) or its equivalent
- Preferably engineering graduate, nursing graduate or equivalent experience
- Excellent training facilitation skills with at least 5 years of training experience and has undergone Train the Trainers training
- Excellent Computer Skills for MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
- Experience in qualitative risk assessment, develop and monitoring of risk controls.
- Proven Investigation Skills as evidence by the preparation of substantial reports on safety, health and environmental or other issues.
- Demonstrated experience in coordination and conduct of training programs.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, consultative, written and negotiation skills with an ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external groups and in an adversarial environment.
- Experience and training in emergency response.
- Experience and training in emergency response.
- Experience in administering an online learning platform.
- Basic knowledge of ISO and auditing.

- Copy of Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree (whichever is applicable)
- Any other relevant licenses and certifications
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Balamban, Cebu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
