As a Legal Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of legal teams, supporting the Legal Head, the paralegal, and other professionals. Your role involves a mix of administrative tasks, legal research, and document management. Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Responsibilities:
  • Document Preparation and Review:
  • Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Head and Paralegal to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain version control and organize revisions.
  • Legal Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough research on legal issues, statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Use legal databases to find relevant information.
  • Prepare concise summaries of legal findings.
  • Client Interaction and Communication:
  • Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, and external parties.
  • Schedule appointments, follow up on inquiries, and relay messages.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Manage Legal Head calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments.
  • Prepare meeting materials, including agendas and relevant documents.
  • Handle routine administrative tasks (phone calls, emails, filing).
  • Compliance and Regulatory Assistance:
  • Stay informed about SEC, PAGCOR, and other relevant regulations.
  • Assist in compliance matters, such as filing reports or maintaining corporate records.
  • Monitor changes in legal requirements and update internal procedures accordingly.
Qualifications:
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Management or any related field.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (both online databases and print resources).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology specific to the Philippines.
  • Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php23,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
