We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly/bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, including salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, tax withholdings, and benefits.
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, health insurance, and other deductions.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks and/or direct deposit information.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
