DESCRIPTION
The Procurement Manager shall oversee implementation of strategies, procedures and processes involved in the acquisition of goods and services in a sustainable and financially viable way; buying the best quality goods, equipment, tools, and services for use by the company at the most competitive prices, and ensuring material purchases are complete and correct as per requirement.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Procurement Management

1. Design, document, and comply with the internal purchasing processes; ensure compliance with company policies or standards.
2. Manage the sourcing out of vendors/suppliers with the right balance of cost, quality and speed of delivery.
3. Manage the evaluation, negotiation, and makes recommendations on critical purchases and general materials required by the company.
4. Searches and explore the market for new and alternative ideas, products and materials, which will contribute to improve efficiency and profitability.
5. Develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate through market research and supplier profiling.
6. Negotiate aggressively with Vendors/Suppliers to get the best and most cost-effective price.
7. Source for lowest price through negotiations and/or working with end users to develop and qualify alternate sources.
8. Conduct due diligence in recommending Vendors/Suppliers for accreditation to the Accreditation Committee.
9. Maintain good working relationship with vendors/suppliers and internal customers by establishing good rapport and professional working relationships.
10. Improvement of Procurement and other initiatives.
B. Material Planning and Control Management
1. Oversee the Material Take Off and related activities.
2. Impose the use of Standard Material Take Off and Material Take-Off Checklist Formats.
C. Procurement Process Improvement Management
1. Initiatives in the enhancements and development of the current procurement system.
2. Improvement of Procurement procedures, and introduce new approaches as necessary
3. Monitoring with the continuous update of Vendor Database and Item Master Library in coordination with QA Department
D. Staff Development and management
1. Develop team members to be better professionals and performers through continuous coaching, mentoring, and training.
2. Provide guidance to personnel and staff including policies, systems and best practices
3. Address identified performance gaps and look for opportunities for continual improvement.
4. Adheres to company policies and procedures including Safety and Housekeeping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Makati City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
  • Procurement Manager: 5 years (Preferred)
  • General Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
