Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through comprehensive testing strategies. This role involves creating and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve issues. The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, has strong analytical skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced development environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy:

• Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies based on software requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers, to ensure that all aspects of the software are adequately tested.

• Manual and Automated Testing:

• Conduct manual testing of software applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and functional gaps.
• Design and implement automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage of testing processes.
• Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Bug Identification and Tracking:

• Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in software applications using bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Work closely with the development team to reproduce issues, understand the root cause, and verify fixes.

Test Execution and Reporting:

• Execute test cases in various environments, ensuring all critical paths are tested across multiple browsers and devices.
• Analyze test results, provide detailed feedback, and generate test reports that include key findings, issues identified, and areas of improvement.
• Continuously monitor and improve the testing process based on feedback and test results.

Quality Assurance Collaboration:

• Participate in regular code reviews, design discussions, and sprint meetings to ensure a high level of quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Contribute to the refinement and improvement of QA processes, tools, and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in software testing, including both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in one or more test automation frameworks
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Java Script for test automation.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php35,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
