As QW+ continues to grow, we’re looking for someone to lead our brand new Fellowship for new and developing voices who are able to speak up on gender rights in South Africa. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about social justice, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at organising impactful programmes. You’ll be managing the recruitment, training, and support of new fellows, working closely with both the QW+ team and external partners. If you’re ready to take charge of a project that fosters leadership and amplifies underrepresented voices, this is for you!
This job is for you if…
- You are a critical thinker who is able to hit the ground running, and you feel confident in your networking, creative, and organisational skills. You're ready to run with all aspects of the fellowship from recruitment, planning to monitoring and evaluation.
- You enjoy making sure everything runs smoothly, with all details meticulously managed. You’re excited about building relationships with fellows, and making sure everyone is supported and engaged.
- You’re also someone who thrives on finding funding opportunities and organising meaningful events-like a fellowship graduation celebration!
Here are some examples of what you might help with:
Lead the Voices 24/25 Fellowship: Manage everything from recruitment and training to logistics and evaluation. You’ll oversee the entire fellowship process to ensure all fellows have a positive and impactful experience.
Recruit and Select Fellows: Drive the recruitment and application process, ensuring we reach a diverse and inclusive pool of candidates. Communicate with applicants throughout the process and coordinate selection panels.
Support Participants: Serve as the main contact for fellows, organising orientation sessions, onboarding, and regular communication. Monitor their progress and provide ongoing resources.
Plan and Coordinate Training: Work with the Training and Access Lead to design training modules and workshops that align with fellowship goals. You’ll ensure everything runs smoothly-whether the training is virtual or in-person.
Research Future Funding: Explore funding opportunities to support future fellowship cohorts and secure resources for long-term programme sustainability.
Organise the Graduation Event: Plan a graduation event to celebrate the fellows’ achievements. Secure funding and partnerships to make the event a meaningful and impactful experience.
Engage with the QW+ Network: Share relevant training opportunities from the fellowship with the wider QW+ network, ensuring all members benefit from the knowledge and resources.
Manage Programme Evaluation: Work with the M&E Consultant to track programme impact, gather data, and report on progress to both the Director and Canadian funders.
What we’re looking for in you:
- Experience in managing programmes within non-profits, ideally related to gender equity, media training, or social justice.
- A proven ability to manage all aspects of programme delivery—from planning and recruitment to reporting and evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting and engaging diverse participants.
- Experience in organising events and managing budgets.
- A proactive, adaptable approach to managing multiple priorities.
*Experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and data-driven reporting.
*Experience working with digital accessibility and remote programme management tools.
*We offer flexible remote work, mentoring, and a collaborative work environment. We are looking for someone who can grow with us and continue making an impact.
