Purpose of the Position:

Key Performance Objectives
Business Partnering
- Provide support to the following Business Units on all Finance related matters: Commercial Projects, Stakeholder Engagement, Marketing, Legal, HR , Admin and Finance .
- Prepare the budget and forecast based on inputs and engagement with the Business Unit. The budget should fairly reflect the cost of the department, manage costs effectively and align expenditure to key strategic focus areas of the company.
- Proactively partner with the business to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve performance and ensure that change initiatives are implemented.
- Participate in designing and implementing new processes and policies where required.
- Foreign Currency Funding
- Policy and governance custodian for the business unit.
- Prioritise and manage business demands and business partner expectations.
- Month end close and reconciliations
- Approval of expenses to confirm validity after ensuring availability of budget
- Provide meaningful ad hoc financial analysis as required
- Preparation and presentation of budgets and forecast for the business unit.
- Manage the reporting process and compliance in the production environment:
- Analyse monthly expenses in detail. Investigate and interpret variances against budget/forecast and provide analysis of differences. Assist management in exploring potential problem areas.
- Monthly rolling forecasts for Income Statement and CAPEX
- CA (SA)
- Newly qualified 0 -2 years post articles
- Strong finance and administration skills
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and Taxation rules
- Strong computer literacy: (Microsoft Office applications and Advanced excel skills)
- SAP system experience advantageous
- Speed and accuracy with figures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills would be highly advantageous as will be interacting directly with executives.
