We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Finance Co-ordinator to join our team in Randburg, South Africa. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
- Coordinate and oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide insights
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures
- Assist in the preparation of audit materials and liaise with external auditors
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
