Job Summary:
This will be a hands-on role supporting the People team in all HR activity for South Africa, the UK (United Kingdom) and Republic of Ireland (ROI). Working for the HR Manager – SA, and as part of the wider Global People team you will have a varied role which incorporates the whole employee lifecycle (post offer), supporting all HR administration, any employee relations cases (IR), payroll and reporting.

Job Summary:
This will be a hands-on role supporting the People team in all HR activity for South Africa, the UK (United Kingdom) and Republic of Ireland (ROI). Working for the HR Manager – SA, and as part of the wider Global People team you will have a varied role which incorporates the whole employee lifecycle (post offer), supporting all HR administration, any employee relations cases (IR), payroll and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the talent acquisition team, create offers of employment and contracts, ensuring compliance regarding right to work documentation.
- Working with HR Manager to support the new starter process, onboarding needs and performance management.
- End to end management of the UK and ROI payroll, working with providers to ensure the monthly payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Support with employee relations (IR) across SA, UK and ROI to include pulling together evidence, documentation and letters as needed for the procedures of each country.
- Advising employees/managers on their queries from holiday and sickness to grievance and performance.
- Coordination of sickness and lateness process and reporting.
- Supporting with the administration of the SA and UK monthly payroll data.
- Administration of the employee leaver process.
- Maintenance and reporting within our HRIS (People HR).
- HR Administration for SA/UK/ROI for employee annual leave, promotions and changes.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders and hold a position of confidentiality and trust.
- Support of the monthly PDP process.
- Follow and champion HR administration processes and policies always looking to make efficiencies where possible.
- Supporting the Global team - Follow and champion HR controls to ensure accurate and timely HR and Payroll administration.
- Project management where needed for change projects in HR policy and administration.
- With the Head of HR Operations, support BBBEE, EE and DTI projects as needed
- 4 years+ SA HR experience.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment/HR department.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- Previous management of simple IR/ER cases.
- Strong SA employment law knowledge
- SA HR qualification.
- Exposure and understanding of UK & ROI employment law.
- Previous experience administering payroll.
- Experience using Excel at an Intermediate – advanced level.
- Organised and methodical approach.
