Position Overview
The Sanlam Group has embarked on a strategic journey to establish a new world “Client and Intermediary Experience” or “CX” function to deliver the client and intermediary facing solutions and tools in support of Sanlam’s digital transformation. In close consultation with the Head of Fintech design, you will be responsible for designing patterns and components for Sanlam’s design system that enable Sanlam Fintech’s vision of creating client and intermediary engagements and experiences to help our clients to live with confidence, be inspired and assist in guiding them towards their financial aspirations.
What will you do?
- Help define and execute design system components within Figma, Token Studio and support the development of components within the design system team
- QA the components executed within the design system team
- Research and advise on best practices related to design system component structures, tokenisation and the latest developments in the industry
- Inform the design and structure of scalable components in collaboration with product design and the design system teams
- Understand and implement component and tokenisation requirements from the Sanlam Group
- Assist in the documentation of design system principles, tokenisation schemas and patterns for both internal use in the design system team and external use for designers across Sanlam
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in design, Information Technology or related field.
- Basic experience creating components and tokens in design systems and working with software development teams.
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of Figma, Tokens Studio
- Understanding of UX principles and customer centric design
- Excellent technical abilities and understanding of basic development methodologies
- Excellent technical abilities creating components and tokens in Figma
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry advantageous
- User experience research advantageous
