Quality Systems Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, meticulous, and diligent Quality Systems Specialist to join our dynamic Health and Safety department, situated at our regional offices in Alberton. The ideal candidate will Support the Quality/Regulatory department as required in all aspects of quality control, quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities in line with the company’s objectives.Established in 1975, Feedem is a large contract catering company in South Africa which manages in excess of 300 sites and employs more than 5 000 people ranging from dieticians, chefs and human capital specialists to hygiene experts.
We provide a wide range of catering and associated services to clients in all industries. We customise our catering and services according to their needs. Our services are offered with confidence as everything we do is underpinned by an ethical code and full compliance with all the relevant industry standards and regulations.We have a country-wide footprint with our head office in Johannesburg, and regional offices in Cape Town, Durban, George, Worcester, Port Elizabeth, Rustenburg, Kimberley and Bloemfontein.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications- Matric
- Degree (BTech) in Quality Management
- ISO 9001 implementation and internal auditing
- ISO 9001 Lead auditor certificate will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 22000 will be beneficial
- Incident Investigations
- Drivers license and own reliable car essential
- Minimum five working years in developing, implementation, training and auditing of ISO 9001 systems
- Ongoing continuous improvement of the existing SHE systems
- ESG experience will be highly advantageous
- Working experience in food industry / cleaning industry will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of Windows Office systems
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality management system policies, standard procedures, SOPs and product specifications.
- The ability to development of new documentation is essential
- Document Control processes
- Conduct regular product, process and system inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance.
- Assist in the group ISO 9001 certification
- Train and motivate staff on quality assurance practices, protocols and product specifications.
- Oversee quality monitoring programs
- Lead in identifying risks and opportunities for improvement for various divisions in the group
- Lead in setting objectives and targets per division in the group and manage key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure implementation and identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in management review of the QMS system
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Participate in process improvement projects within the respective divisions in the group.
- Ongoing continuous improvement of the SHE systems
