Senior Sales Representative

The Food For Mzansi Group, a leading voice in agricultural journalism, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven senior sales representative with proven experience in agricultural media to join our team. As part of the team behind South Africa’s leading digital agriculture news publication, we are looking for someone who is passionate about connecting brands with our audiences and understands the unique challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector.
Key responsibilities:
Drive advertising and sponsorship sales across all Food For Mzansi platforms, including digital, print, and events.
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, particularly within the agricultural, agribusiness, and related industries.
Collaborate with the editorial and marketing teams to create customised advertising solutions that meet client needs.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the Food For Mzansi client base.
Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and manage a portfolio of existing clients.
Stay informed on the latest trends in agricultural media and actively participate in industry events.
Requirements:
A minimum of five years’ experience in a sales role, preferably within the traditional agricultural or media sectors.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong network and understanding of the agricultural sector in South Africa.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present innovative advertising solutions.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as part of a remote team.
Familiarity with digital media sales, including programmatic advertising, is a plus.
