The Sourcing Specialist for Marketing Procurement is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to meet the marketing needs of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of marketing services and products, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The Sourcing Specialist will play a critical role in optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and supporting the overall marketing strategy through effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
- Research and identify potential suppliers for marketing-related goods and services (e.g., creative agencies, media buyers, promotional products).
- Conduct supplier evaluations and assessments to determine capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization while ensuring compliance with quality and service standards.
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring that all agreements align with company policies and legal requirements.

Collaboration with Marketing Teams:
- Work closely with marketing teams to understand their procurement needs and timelines.
- Provide guidance on supplier selection and procurement processes to ensure alignment with marketing strategies.

Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities.
- Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market insights for management review.

Cost Management and Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze spending trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for budget optimization.
- Implement best practices for procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on procurement technologies and tools that can enhance sourcing efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in marketing procurement or a candidate with marketing experience with specific focus on Above-the-Line discipline
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
