The Business Controller is a key position and forms part of the Company’s management team.
The Business Controller supports management in making effective business decisions through accurate, relevant, and timely business and financial analysis. You will be expected to participate in business activities and actively contribute to developing the business in accordance with the strategy and targets. In addition, you will be required to ensure that adequate internal control processes are in place and that Group processes are implemented, raising “red flags” to management whenever compliance with sound business principles is at risk. The Business Controller will also be responsible for the financial coaching and development of the Management team.

Power Technique Business Area manufacturers a complete range of portable air compressors, generators, light towers, pumps, tools and accessories with the aim to maximize customers’ sustainable productivity with the best return on the investment available in the market.
The Atlas Copco Power Technique Customer Center sells and services the customers in the area through a combination of direct sales and a dealer network. The area comprises five countries Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan and Iraq. Customer center is in Istanbul Turkiye.
We are looking for a Business Controller to manage our business control with high standards and quality in Turkey region covering Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq and Pakistan.
The role is based in Turkey and reports to the General Manager. The candidate must reside in Istanbul.
Mission
- Ensure financial reporting and accounting are in line with FAM guidelines and legal requirements and Turkish statutory accounting practice.
- Be a speaking partner to the General Manager regarding the business of the company.
- Promote transparency in facts and figures to ensure a decision process based on adequate and objective information.
- Actively participate in the planning process and prepare quarterly expectancies.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and controls.
- Ensure that appropriate risk awareness and internal control procedures are in place and that external and internal auditors receive necessary support.
- Take care of the legal aspects of the business.
- Secure internal controls via procedures and prokura
- Assist in preparation of Company Review Meeting / Business Review Meeting packages.
- Responsible for periodic management reporting, analysis, scorecards and executive summaries.
- Maintain a close relationship with Business Line Manager’s to coordinate customer sales strategies.
- Work in close cooperation with Atlas Copco Shared Services on Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Cooperate and collaborate with Divisional controlling departments.
- Utilize and share leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group.
- Raise “red flags” if and when required and provide timely warning signals for any gaps or deviations.
- Manage and protect the Company’s assets. Monitor and manage inventory levels and receivables.
- Motivate and train employees regarding business acumen and financial understanding.

Qualifications
- Track record in in business controlling functions
- Good knowledge of Customer Center activities along with demonstrated leadership in implementing policies and procedures in compliance with "The Way We Do Things"
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- High level of IT proficiency.
- Prior experience from working with SAP ERP is a benefit.
- Turkish and fluent knowledge of English, both in writing and speaking.

- You demonstrate a positive and collaborative attitude, open to change and firmly believe that there is always a better way
