### Job Description: Non-Nurse Deputy Manager
**Location:** Thornton Heath CR7 8DE
**Salary:** £18.14 per hour (London hourly rate)
**Hours:** 40 hours per week (3 long day shifts)
**Breaks:** Paid

**Citizenship:** Must be a British citizen

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Non-Nurse Deputy Manager to join our team in a reputable nursing home. This role is pivotal in ensuring high standards of care and support for our residents while working closely with the management team.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- **Supportive Leadership:** Assist the Deputy Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
- **Medication Management:** Understand and assist with medication rounds, ensuring accurate administration and documentation.
- **Autonomous Work:** Take charge of shifts, managing staff and resident needs without supervision during day shifts.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with the Deputy Manager and other staff members to maintain care standards and enhance resident well-being.
- **Resident Care:** Provide support and supervision to ensure the dignity and respect of residents, promoting their independence and quality of life.
- **Staff Development:** Assist in the training and development of care staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- **Compliance:** Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining high standards of care.
#### Qualifications:
- **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years working as a Deputy Manager (Non-Nurse) in a nursing home setting.
- **NVQ Level 5:** Must possess an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- **Leadership Diploma:** Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
- **Independent Worker:** Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities during shifts effectively.
- **Medication Knowledge:** Familiarity with medication management protocols and procedures.
