Job Summary
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process within our organisation. You will assist in purchasing goods and essential for our operations, as well as look at freight, and manage outstanding backorders with suppliers.
Duties
- Collaborate with the procurement team to reach out to our suppliers and obtain quotes
- Assist in creating purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and invoices
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues, backorders and discrepancies
- Support in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining good vendor relationships
Experience
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is needed
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with systems such as Magento and Odoo for inventory management is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
