Duties
Work assignments include:
- Enter movements to include admissions, transfers, and releases within statewide jail facilities in the OMNI Prison Movement Screen and the OMNI transport order screen.
- Assist Community Corrections Staff in entering and tracking local confinement information in the OMNI Prison Movement Screen.
- Audit and verify violator population is accurate.
- Contribute to the shared workload by providing back-up coverage to alternate caseloads, as needed when primary CRT is not available.
- Problem solve and provide assistance regarding OMNI prison movements, tolling, and/or procedural questions.
- Process monthly violator housing bills received from statewide jail facilities by verifying DOC sanction confinement timeframes utilizing OMNI Reports, Prison Movements Screen, Field Discipline screen, chrono’s, and/or On Base documents.
- Communicates with jail and/or DOC staff regarding any discrepancies.
- Identify and ensure County Boarder day-for-day exchange is accurately reflected on the appropriate housing bill per the Interstate Agreement.
- Upon request, assists DOC Medical Staff in verification of DOC jurisdiction on the medical date of service.
- Facilitate, process, and complete time sensitive movement requests.
- Screen individuals to ensure appropriate placement.
- Issues confinement authorization emails and OMNI transfer orders.
- Acts as a liaison between jail and DOC staff to facilitate movement requests for individuals.
- Coordinates time sensitive transport requests of violators.
- Provides back-up coverage for transport coordination duties, as needed.
- Respond to requests for public disclosure.
- Testify in court as an expert witness.
- Verify identification of individuals.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

Two (2) years’ experience maintaining, or processing incarcerated individual files such as legal files, property files, grievance files, administrative files, medical files, parole files, or counselor or custody files in governmental law enforcement office, court setting, or an adult or juvenile correctional agency.

Note: Incarcerated Records are defined as records containing certified copies of the original documents relating to the offender’s crime and sentence. For the purpose of this position, maintaining and processing records is defined as the entry/input, review, removal, upkeep, electronic retention, and hard copy retention of records in a professional setting.

- Basic knowledge of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Basic knowledge of DOC Offender Management Network Information (OMNI) system.
- College level coursework in criminal justice, business administration, accounting, social science, or a related field.

Telework Details
This position may be eligible to telework after initial in-office training is complete. Work may be performed from your home or another offsite location within the state of Washington using a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service. Employees are expected to perform assigned duties in a safe manner, to take proper care all state-issued equipment, and maintain confidentiality of all information in possession while working offsite. Employees will be required to commute to a Department of Corrections facility as business requires.
