Basic Function

Job Duties

• Works primarily on pipeline equipment, right of way and pump stations
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, pipeline, right of way and stations
• Completes maintenance records, work orders and other required records/documentation
• Ensures equipment is operating properly
• Responds to upsets and abnormal operating instances
• Verifies compliance with DOT requirements
• Performs regulatory required inspections
• Ensures operations and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Represents the company to third parties
• Calibrates safety equipment
• Recommend and implement improvements and/or modification in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
• Responds to emergency situations
• Analyzes data on related components and systems, processes and methods, to aid operations with decisions
• Must be able to read vibration signatures and evaluate machinery condition from vibration data
• Must be able to isolate the affected machinery component, recognize various common problems, and be able to make recommendations for continued operation or scheduled repairs
• May be responsible for one call system, monitoring one calls, and dispatching to the location as needed
