Salary $97,785.38 + Super + Flexible Working
19 day month with RDO or 9 day fortnight option, your choice!

An exciting new opportunity to work within City of Whittlesea’s Aboriginal Communities Department!
The Aboriginal Youth Development Officer will work alongside the Aboriginal Communities Department to raise the voices and profile of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young peoples in the municipality. This position will develop the capacity of young people to connect and contribute to the local community and beyond. The role will work collaboratively with Council’s Youth Development team to ensure a wide variety of responses to the barriers affecting the access and participation of young people within the community.

You are passionate in creating opportunities and change for First Peoples’ Youth, with a cultural safe lens based on best practice principles, collaborating with stakeholders to meet the needs of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community?
