Accountant – Sydney’s Spray Painting industry leader
For many years this leader in the Spray Painting industry has been providing its services from their main operating centre of excellence in Condell Park supported by many third party providers and operating in many profitable sectors and niches including interior and exterior doors, French polishing, metal and plastic finishing and others. They now wish to appoint a qualified and experienced Accountant. The role of full time and ongoing, and in a secure profitable business. Kogan People solutions, recruiters, are working with the company in this critical recruitment effort.
Location – Condell Park NSW
As their new Accountant your responsibilities will include -

Working with senior members of the organisation, Investigating and preparing financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and aiding in asset management.
Investigating and preparation of the monthly management reporting pack by preparing monthly management reports.
Formulating budgetary and accounting policies.
Ensure the continued appropriateness of internal controls, policies and procedures and regulatory compliance.
Review and update accounting manual procedures accordingly.
Development of systems & resources to streamline and automate processes and procedures of the business.
Overseeing processing of supplier invoices to ledgers daily, ensuring they are coded accurately
Ensure ongoing accuracy and preparation of the bank reconciliation process.
Preparing regulatory returns such as the monthly Business Activity Report, Fringe Benefit Tax return. (FBT)
Overseeing all accounting ledger and reconciliations take place in a systemic and auditable way
Ad hoc or special projects requested by management

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

At least 2 to 3 years’ professional (post training) experience as an Accountant.
Highly relevant tertiary qualifications.
Progress towards, or demonstrated interest in, professional accounting qualifications.
Proficient in contemporary accounting systems and the main office software suites.
Up-to-date knowledge about Australian taxation law and financial reporting requirements.
Attention to detail.
Good time management and communication skills.
Systematic and critical thinking skills.
Unrestricted rights to work full time in Australia.

Salary is highly negotiable in the range $70k to $85k plus superannuation per annum, and the working environment is professional and collegiate.
