About the role
You will drive the strategy, development, and delivery of enterprise architecture artefacts, including applications, integrations, infrastructure, and security components, to realise SA’s digital strategy.
This role involves forming a holistic view of SA’s strategic goals, objectives, and requirements. A key focus of this role is on improving the current state, prioritising enhancements to reduce risk and set SA up for future success.
What you'll do
- Develop the enterprise architecture artefacts, including taking carriage of the applications, integrations, infrastructure and security, inclusive of cloud and network architecture service offerings in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture directions and team practice
- Define strategies and roadmap transformational activities and implementation of interdependent IT projects
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders both internal and external to align strategies and architectures to business needs
- Monitor, review and report to stakeholders and customers on Enterprise Architecture and IT project delivery against agreed commitments and adjust activities as necessary
- Engage with senior business and technical stakeholders to capture the necessary information required to produce the enterprise architecture artefacts
- Maintain the corporate technology knowledge of the organisations strategic business plans, its project portfolios, and provide feedback on possible impacts on delivery of its enterprise architectures
- Conduct resourcing review for project and application resources, providing clarity on minimum required resourcing and resourcing required to fulfil strategic needs
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-level solutions
- Proven experience in building technology roadmaps supporting transformation activities and implementation of IT major projects of work and project initiatives, while taking every opportunity to consolidate and simplify the technical debt and various technology portfolios
- Proven experience in applications and technology infrastructure and network services management
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to coach and develop team members
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
