Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.

Job Description
-We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor for our Mine Services Department at Dawson Mine operation in Moura QLD.
Reporting through to the Mine Services Superintendent, you as the successful candidate will demonstrate a drive for safety as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will be responsible for Dozer Push, Drill preparation, Dragline Bench levelling and machine relocation. As an experienced supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and leading a small team of operators to ensure operational production standards are met.
You will effectively plan, monitor, and coordinate personnel, equipment, and resources to achieve the companies’ set targets and schedules.
This role will be of interest to someone who enjoys coaching and mentoring an established crew, interesting investigative challenges and effectively working with other departments on site.

Qualifications
- -Previous supervisor experience running a team within an open cut mining operation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Demonstrated experience with enabling works and a working knowledge of relevant legislation.
- S1, S2, S3 and G2, OCE ticket desirable but not mandatory
