Kogan People Solutions are working with a highly regarded automotive smash repair business who provide high quality smash repairs and professional service, based in Derrimut, VIC.
Our client’s team of skilled technicians provide prompt and professional service from minor scratches to major collisions, using the latest techniques and equipment. This business specialises in collision repairs, spray paint and panel beating, insurance work and auto body painting.
About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join their busy team as their business continues to grow. This role will allow you to utilise your skills and experience to provide service, maintenance, and repairs to a wide range of vehicles. The job is full time, and ongoing.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide first rate servicing and repairs to a wide range of vehicles.
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
- Perform services such as oil changes and brake inspections, as well as more complex repairs like engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls and replacing worn or damaged parts.
- Diagnose and assess tyre damage and wear.
- Fitting of tyres, tyre rotation and wheel alignments.
- Adhere to safety standards, following safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrated passion towards the automotive industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly relevant trade qualifications (minimum Certificate IV or agreed equivalent)
- At least 2 to 3 years post training professional experience, preferably more.
- Solid references.
- A can-do attitude and team spirit.
- Great time management skills.
