Principal Accounting Advisor

Your key responsibilities- Develop, disseminate, and provide expert advice on financial accounting policies, guidelines, methodologies, and systems.- Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of financial information, and statistics to support various financial reporting activities.- Perform financial accounting activities as a member of the Financial Operations team, supporting month-end and annual financial reporting commitments.- Develop, implement, monitor compliance management activities, policies, and processes that assist in achieving Governmental and Departmental objectives and strategies.- Regular reporting on Department's compliance status and prepare high quality, accurate reports and briefs to senior management and executives.- Provide advice to senior management on significant business initiatives and the possible impact on the Department.- Identify improvement opportunities, training and promote compliance through education.- Undertake project work as required and apply practical experiences to develop work schedules and relevant project plans to ensure key outcomes are delivered on time.- Maintain effective relationships between internal and external stakeholders to proactively manage needs, expectations and risks.
