The opportunity
As the sovereign provider of combat management systems to the Royal Australian Navy, we are responsible for the development and sustainment of Australia’s combat management system capability.
To support this, we are seeking skilled Systems Engineers to join our Naval Combat Systems (NCS) group with experience in systems engineering across combat, communication, platform, control and autonomous systems
As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness and capabilities of combat systems, ensuring they operate with precision and reliability in defence operations.
On joining Saab, depending on your skills and ambition, you will be working either with our Combat System Integration team, or our Products Team. Our talented teams work across all phases of the engineering life cycle and are engaged in design of new products, research and development, and sustainment of existing products.
We welcome all candidates with skills and experience in the systems Engineering V-Model, including but not limited to:

• System requirements and architecture
• Systems and platform integration
• Systems safety engineering
• Systems security and cyber engineering
• Modelling & Analysis
• Verification & Validation
• Human Factors Engineering
• EMI/EMC/RADHAZ engineering

As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and retain a NV1 security clearance.
