Teacher Special Education Transition (Itinerant)- Glenvale School

Position Information
Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach special education and/or demonstrated successful experience in teaching students with disability.
- Demonstrated capacity to successfully work with school Learning and Support Teams in supporting the development of and monitoring personalised transition planning and Individual Transition Plans.
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills which encompass experience in collaborating with stakeholders using various technology platforms.
- Ability to support collaborative consultation with students, families, schools, delivery support teams and various government and non-government agencies including NDIS Local Area Coordinators in supporting the development of personalised planning for transition.
- Ability and willingness to travel across Principal networks.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department of Education’s Aboriginal Education Policy.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.All Department of Education employees working in an SSP are required to be vaccinated as outlined at Vaccination requirements for school sites (nsw.gov.au). The successful candidate for this position will be required to confirm vaccination status prior to the department finalising their appointment and entry on duty. Ability and willingness to travel between worksites.
