We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects in building and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for comprehensive project delivery, team leadership, and stakeholder management while ensuring adherence to specifications, schedules, and budgets.
This dynamic role requires an individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities and drive projects to successful completion.
Requires:
· University or Technical Institute degree in Civil Engineering
· Minimum 7 years of construction site experience
· Proven track record of managing at least 2 building projects with budgets over €1 million
· Excellent knowledge of English
· Strong computer proficiency including MS Office
· Valid driving license and own vehicle
· Willingness to work on projects throughout Greece
Key Responsibilities:
· Leading and coordinating all construction site activities
· Managing foremen, site engineers, and project teams
· Ensuring compliance with safety practices and site maintenance
· Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and specialised labor
· Maintaining effective communication with client representatives and internal stakeholders
· Problem-solving and conflict resolution
· Collaborating with internal departments (Procurement, Accounting, etc.)
· Reporting to Project Director on project progress and issues
Technical Skills & Attributes:
· Strong project planning and organisational capabilities
· Excellent budget management and cost control
· In-depth knowledge of construction safety and quality standards
· Understanding of technical company procedures and administrative structures
· Comprehensive knowledge of construction legislation and regulations
· Strong contract management capabilities
· Proven ability to make quick, effective decisions
· Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
This is a senior leadership role requiring someone who can take complete ownership of projects while fostering strong collaboration across all stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring persistence, adaptability, and mental fortitude to overcome project challenges.
Location is primarily Athens-based but requires travel to project sites across Greece. Candidates who can only work in the Attica region will also be considered.
