Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
- Design and implement functional network infrastructure
- Maintain and administer network equipment
- Monitor and manage network performance and integrity
- Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local network infrastructure
- Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
- Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
- Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with major vendors and technical suppliers for design, maintenance, consultancy & implementation of the company's networking solutions
- Maintain complete technical documentation
- Mentor team members on technical issues
- Communicate with users when needed
- Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
- Keep track of technological advancements and trends in IT networking.
- 3+ years of working experience as an IT network engineer in a relevant industry
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or relevant areas
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, Forti NSE)
- Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl)
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- Knowledge of Networking, Understanding customer support processes and Problem Solving.
- Fluency in English
