Assistant Accountant (Payroll)

Assistant Accountant (Payroll) (Ref: 240001ID)

Responsibilities

Supervise all-round termination payroll activities and other non-recurrent remuneration payments, employer tax returns, MPF and ORSO scheme contributions and related scheme reporting
Prepare month-end closing specific to payroll, including monthly journal posting and accounts reconciliations
Manage financial accounting for recreation clubhouses of the Corporation and related reports, such as monthly income statement and balance sheet statement
Ensure responsible payroll services comply with statutory requirements and company polices
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on payroll related matters and enquiries
Assist in Human Resources Management System (HRMS) or related system enhancement projects and user acceptance tests

Requirements

Degree in Accounting / Finance / Human Resources/ Business Administration or a related discipline
Preferably with 3 years’ relevant experience gained in payroll office in sizable companies, and with supervisory experience
Hands-on experience in People Soft Payroll System and Oracle Financial System and proficient in Microsoft Excel
Well-versed in Inland Revenue Ordinance, Employment Ordinance and other relevant statutory requirements related to payroll
Self-motivated, able to work independently and under tight timeline with good leadership and stakeholder management skills
