Department of Economics and Finance - Associate Professor (Full-time)
(Ref: Asso P (EAF) (2024-09-06))
Responsibilities
  • plan, develop, coordinate and deliver specialist modules in finance area and real estate development;
  • assist in programme development, management and validation; and
  • engage in research, scholarly and administration activities.


Applicants Should
  • possess a doctoral degree, preferably in Finance with specialty knowledge in Real Estate Business;
  • qualify to be a Chartered Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • have solid teaching and research experience in related areas;
  • have a successful track record of academic/professional experience in tertiary teaching (bachelor and master levels), and/or professional services;
  • have relevant practical experience in the finance and real estate related industries;
  • have a strong research record or potential for scholarly research and publications;
  • have a high level of subject knowledge, skills and competence in the academic or professional discipline concerned; and
  • have a good command of both written and spoken English.

Relevant industry experience, professional qualifications, and international exposure will be an advantage. Preference will be given to the applicant who has teaching or research experience in Finance and Real Estate Development.
The appointee is expected to assume duty in January 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
