Maintenance Engineer

- Supervise a maintenance team to implement improvement works of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, Automated Fare Collection (AFC) and telecommunication electronic equipment to deliver reliable workshop services
- Carry out asset replacement studies, asset life assurance studies and holistic review of various systems in Central Electronic Workshop
- Implement refurbishment / replacement of exhausted electronic equipment under asset life assurance projects
- Review, identify areas of improvements and make improvement proposals on the process of asset management activities such as asset condition assessments and asset life assurance studies
- Provide technical support on the maintenance activities of trainborne signal, trackside signal, rolling stock, AFC and telecommunication electronic equipment
- Work closely with partners from depots and various maintenance departments to ensure the performance of the electronic system and propose improvements in the maintenance regime
- Be a key member of the investigation team for fault investigation and identification of the root cause and propose remedial actions
- Supervise the contractor working, as well as the term labour working in Central Electronic Workshop
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills and be self-motivated
- Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered
- Required to perform shift duties on irregular patterns of hours
- Work offshore to support the Corporation’s growth business when needed
