The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is charged with the responsibility for maintaining the stability and integrity of the monetary and financial systems of Hong Kong. Senior Consultant – Information Technology, Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU)

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the CEO, this role will provide advice on the establishment of CMU’s in-house IT infrastructure
• Provide advice on the development, revision and implementation of policies, processes, and standards related to IT, data management, and cybersecurity
• Working closely with business and operations teams, design the high level architecture for CMU’s core IT systems
• Engage with vendors and consultants, and support on procurement of external services and developers
• Lead the development on equities coverage capabilities to support international linkages
• Provide any other advice and support on CMU’s IT development

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in computer science, business information systems, information technology or related fields
• At least 15 years of relevant IT experience in market infrastructure, preferably in more than one market
• Good knowledge of key financial market infrastructures, such as central securities depositories and payment systems and their front-to-back office operations
• Good knowledge of relevant vendors of market infrastructure technology
• Proven experience on designing, building, deploying medium to large scale platform solutions using modern technologies
• Strong leadership skills and solid experience in leading a team
