Term IT Assistant

IVE Engineering has organized a number of high-quality professional development training courses for practitioners in the Engineering Discipline including construction, electronic and electrical engineering; mechanical and building services engineering; and transportation engineering. Details of the training courses can be found at https://EDi T.vtc.edu.hk. In order to meet the increase in demand for our services, we are looking for executive assistants to provide high-quality logistic support to the promotion and operation of the training courses.

Major Duties:

(a)
To assist supervisors in supporting Share Point and other programme administration system with relevant stakeholders;

(b)
To perform server data backups at regular intervals;

(c)
To timely update the IT security software under the supervision of the respective VTC authority to ensure the highest level of protection in cybersecurity;

(d)
To provide other general office IT and graphic design support;

(e)
To provide support to publicity and promotion activities; and

(f)
To provide support in course administration, including handling course enquiries, student admission, student records, timetabling and class briefing.


Requirements:

(a)
(i)
5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) at Grade E / Level 2 or above, including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent; OR

(ii)
A combination of results in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination at Level 2 or above in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” or above in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E or above in Other Language subjects, and the 5 subjects should include English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics; OR

(iii)
A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate, or Project Yi Jin;

  • Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.

    (b)
    Proficiency in computer software application, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and Chinese word processing;

    (c)
    Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;

    (d)
    Pleasant personality, good work initiative and customer-oriented with good telephone manners;

    (e)
    Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and

    (f)
    Graphics design skills are preferrable.

    The post is at the rank of Executive Assistant II.

    The appointee(s) may be required to work outside normal office hours.
