Term Officer

Major Duties:

(a)
To perform administrative duties in respect of one or more of the following areas:

(i)
human resources management;

(ii)
student and course related administration;

(iii)
administrative and academic support (e.g. student admissions, student services, student records activities and matters relating to programme planning and operation);

(iv)
financial and supplies matters; and

(v)
general administration and facilities management;

(b)
To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure effective operation and management of the operational unit;

(c)
To undertake committee work in various committees, boards and meetings;

(d)
To assist in coordinating projects and events, and the publicity matters of the operational unit; and

(e)
To help implement the quality policy of the operational unit.


Requirements:

(a)
A recognised degree or equivalent, preferably in English Studies, Translation or Communication Studies;

(b)
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience at the executive level, preferably in educational institutions or major organisations;

(c)
Good communication, interpersonal, organisation and administrative skills;

(d)
Good problem solving, time management and team building skills;

(e)
Self-initiative, willingness to meet challenges and the ability to work independently;

(f)
A high level of written and spoken language proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and

(g)
Preferably with good IT knowledge and skills.

(1)
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(2)
Applicants are required to highlight their language proficiency (e.g. HKCEE, HKAL, IELTS, CRE, etc.) in their CV.

(3)
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.

(4)
Appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours or outside normal office hours to suit the operational needs.
