Associate - Entry Level - Cyber Security

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our cybersecurity team as a graduate cybersecurity professional. As an entry-level position, the role will offer an opportunity to work with experienced professionals, gain practical experience, and build a career in the cybersecurity field. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting our organization's sensitive information and critical infrastructure against cyber threats.
What are the minimum requirements for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and technologies
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and common security technologies such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Relevant certifications such as Comp TIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be an advantage
What is your role and responsibilities?
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a timely manner
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses.
- Assist with the security assessments of vendors that hold Carne Data
- Support the maintenance of Carne’s ISO27001 Information Security Management System
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and raise awareness about cybersecurity best practices
- Participate in security incident investigations and after incident remediation recommendations.
- Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
- Assist with the implementation and management of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security controls are integrated into IT projects and systems

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
