Specific responsibilities in this role include:

• To perform an audit of the daily night audit, ensuring its accuracy and completeness
• To provide holiday cover when required
• Managing the Accounts Payable email and all creditor reconciliations
• Maintaining the Purchasing System for deliveries and invoices
• To maintain records and update databases as assigned
• Cash & Credit Card reconciliations, to cover holidays
• Project work, including development of Standards of Performance.
• To ensure that you always behave appropriately, treating everyone with whom you engage with dignity and respect
• Ensuring that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language, and conduct at all times
• To adhere to our health & safety training, policies, and procedures
• Any other accounts-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance

The successful applicant must have:

• Ideally, a Hotel accounts /bookkeeping background, but this is not essential
• Experience with Accounts Payable. Experience with SAGE 50 would be an advantage
• Strong IT skills in implementing and operating accounting software and front office systems
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Some knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• An ability to work to tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail, high initiative, and a strong focus on results
• Strong communication skills, with good English competency, as well as organisational, and analytical skills
• Have a calm, efficient, professional, and organised approach to your work, with an ability to prioritise tasks
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn, as training will be provided
• Be comfortable working in a very busy environment
