Position: Area Sales Representative

Location: Netherlands

About the Role: We seek a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving commercial targets within your assigned territory by effectively managing the dealer network and maximizing sales and profits for Mercury Marine brands, including Quicksilver and Valiant recreational boats, Mercury Inflatable Boats, Mercury Outboard, Mercury Diesel, and Mercury Mercruiser Inboard Motors, as well as various parts and accessories such as Quicksilver and Attwood.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for Marine Trade Area analysis within the scope: identifying regional strengths and weaknesses and formulating plans to strengthen the dealer network.
Implement dealer network changes by evaluating prospective new dealers from a retail, service, and financial viewpoint to determine whether the dealer has the strengths required to operate effectively for the brand(s)
Manage a dealer network by helping to identify and drive improvements in retail performance through improvements in merchandising, local marketing and CRM.
Manage the dealer wholesale commitment process to maximise wholesales into the dealer while properly taking into account the dealer’s inventory. Build strong partnerships with the dealer by creating business and marketing plans to drive growth and following them through.
Coordinate OEM efforts within the assigned territory to drive potential OEM partnerships; plan and develop sales and service for OEM. Seek and investigate potential new OEM customers within the assigned territory to increase Mercury Marine's business.
Actively manage dealer relationships to drive increasing brand loyalty and sales
Actively promote the brands to new and prospective dealers to motivate and drive dealer interest in and desire for them.
To understand the changing customer requirements and market conditions and respond by influencing the development of services/products that meet customer needs.
Maintain knowledge of the overall marine market, including market forces, consumer trends, product trends, growth trends, and regional and national/differences with the goal of identifying revenue growth opportunities. Maintain knowledge of existing product portfolio performance and trends, including wholesale sales, retail sales, pipeline
Identifying the resolving issues with the dealer that are affecting retail performance, profitability or customer satisfaction and, where appropriate, drive corrective actions with the support of the other Brunswick teams (Sales Admin, After Sales, Marketing etc)
Support marketing in terms of local language proofreading, boat shows organisation and press test
Monitor market retail activity and market wholesale activity within the assigned area

Skills & Qualifications:

5 years of field sales experience in a b2b environment, preferably within the marine industry
Ability to manage and strengthen dealer relationships.
technical background and experience is an advantage, especially in the mechanics and electronics
Financial Management
Advanced Dutch, French and English level, both written and spoken.
Positive attitude and open for new ideas
Customer orientation
Good interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
Displays initiative
Ability to work independently
Available for frequent travel in the Netherlands and to the Headquarter n Belgium
Stress resistant
Computer skills - Microsoft Office & ERP structures
Driver’s license

Boating license is a plus

What We Offer:

This exciting and innovative position is a Global Grade 11 and offers a salary of between €56,500 - €70,000. Please be aware that this range represents the pay range for all positions within the job grade in which the post falls. The actual salary offer will consider various factors, including skills, experience, and location (country). We also offer the following benefits:
