team.blue is seeking a Business Insights Associate to join our Business Insights Team in Leiden. Team.Blue Netherlands is looking for an enthusiastic go-getter to join our Business Insights team as Business Insights Associate. As Business Insights Associate you will be working directly with the Product Marketing, Performance Marketing and Sales teams of the different brands under the Team Blue umbrella. You will be expected to take the role of a data and insights expert. You will support commercial teams by being a critical part of the decision-making process for the Dutch organization.

What your day will look like
The role has two broad areas of action: Advisory and Insights Generation. On the Advisory front you will be expected to play an advisory role for non-technical stakeholders within the commercial organization. This means working regularly and directly with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing and Sales teams to provide them with operational intelligence, run ad-hoc analyses based on their needs, and make recommendations for growth or process optimizations. On the Insights Generation front you will be expected to handle big-data analysis & dashboard setup, weekly report generation, quality checks on the source data, and connecting different data sources via Hadoop tables to generate actionable insights. Fulfilment of these roles will require coordination with other departments and teams within Team Blue, for example, Central Data Engineering, Marketing and Business Process Automation, amongst others. The Business Insights Associate role reports directly into the Business Insights Lead.

What you have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Statistics or Econometrics
• Minimum work experience of 2-4 years as a Business Analyst (or in a similar role), preferably in a technology business
• You speak, read and write English with a professional or native fluency
• You can Power Point and Excel with your eyes (metaphorically) closed
• You are an optimistic go-getter who likes to get things done
• You have an innate understanding of data and statistical methods
• You are a people’s person and can get along well with colleagues from different backgrounds

Good to have

• Knowledge of Tableau Desktop and building self-service Dashboards for stakeholders
• Experience with writing SQL and My SQL queries
• Experience with Python Libraries needed for Big Data Analysis: e.g., NUMPY and SCIPY Knowledge of Hadoop and Spark
• Ability to read, speak and write in Dutch, to integrate better with the Dutch organization
• Prior experience with Scrum, Kanban or other Agile methodologies
