The Role: Corporate Energy Specialist
As Corporate Energy Specialist, you will be entrusted with the development and execution of
Q-Park’s overarching energy strategy across all our international markets. This senior role will see you take full responsibility for enhancing our energy solutions, focusing on energy procurement, energy pricing, risk management, asset management (including EV charging, solar energy, and battery storage), energy management information and strategic collaboration with local and central teams. You will also work closely with the national headquarters in each Q-Park country to ensure the seamless implementation and alignment of our energy initiatives across Europe.
This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a forward-thinking individual who can drive Q-Park’s sustainability agenda while fostering strong partnerships at both the central and local levels.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution

• Spearhead the continued development and rollout of Q-Park’s corporate energy strategy, aimed at creating long-term value and advancing sustainability across all operations.
• Develop, optimise and execute opportunities for energy procurement, solar power generation, battery storage, and the expansion of electric vehicle charging networks to support Q-Park’s sustainable growth goals.
• Establish processes and policies for local trading of renewable energy certificates, enhancing Q-Park's sustainability efforts.

Energy Procurement & Contract Management

• Actively manage energy supplier contracts, providing guidance during procurement and tender processes.
• Monitor European energy markets to offer strategic advice on optimal timing for energy procurement.
• Explore, negotiate, and manage Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and financial energy hedging mechanisms.
• Develop requirements for analytical tools and dashboards to monitor energy usage, forecast consumption, and optimize energy supply management across all sites.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a high-caliber professional who meets the following qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• At least 5 years of experience in a role within the energy sector, preferably in areas such as procurement, portfolio management, energy trading, or sustainable asset management.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and systems.
• Demonstrated general management capabilities, with experience in drafting strategic documents, planning, collaborating and managing complex projects.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages (such as Dutch, French or German) is advantageous.
• A strategic mindset, coupled with the ability to identify problems and devise innovative solutions.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to create and analyze business cases, and commercial agreements.
• Willingness to travel across Europe to collaborate with regional Q-Park offices.
