ARE YOU OUR NEW DUTY MANAGER / SENIOR SUPERVISOR?

Stayokay Stadsdoelen is new, newer, newest! This monumental building in Amsterdam is right on the canals. After an intensive renovation, this place, with 168 beds, a bar, and a reception, has truly become a gem! Even though the look is completely new, the familiar vibe remains the same: a low-key, cozy living room feel, with backpackers from all over the world. As a team member, you get to enjoy unique people and stories every single day!

Are you a born manager who makes sure everything runs smoothly, so that together we can maintain that unique hostel atmosphere? And would you like to experience the opening of a hostel and can you start from December 1st? Then you are the right person for the job!

You are…

• As a Duty Manager / Senior Supervisor, you’re the all-rounder who ensures our guests have an unforgettable time without them ever realizing just how much you’re managing behind the scenes! What does that mean exactly?

• You’ll start up the housekeeping and front office teams and help them with constructive feedback. You love being part of the team and want to shine together.
• You’ll ensure that HACCP rules are followed to the letter.
• Guest complaints? You’ll solve them with a smile before they even feel like a complaint.
• Managing schedules, handling last-minute changes, and taking on supervisory tasks like you’ve been doing it forever.
• You’ve got a radar for perfection: after cleaning, you’ll check the rooms with a sharp eye for detail.
• And yes, when needed, you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and help out with light cleaning tasks. Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
• You'll work at our location Stadsdoelen but will also occasionally support your colleagues at Stayokay Vondelpark (you will also be trained at this location).

You have…

• A few years of experience in a similar role, and you’re not afraid to share your skills with us. We love learning from each other!
• No issues with multitasking. In fact, you excel at staying calm, even when chaos hits.
• An open mind and plenty of drive. And you do everything as sustainably as possible.
• Good knowledge of English and Dutch is a plus. Do you also speak another language? Nice touch!
