Make paying online easy and safe for everyone
If you’ve ever paid other users on platforms like Marktplaats, e Bay-Kleinanzeigen, and Gumtree, or booked a holiday home via Nature.house or Micazu - chances are you’ve already met us. Our fintech platform powers marketplaces. Not just by arranging payments - it also allows marketplaces to accept, hold and disburse funds for their users. That makes our solution a bit more sophisticated, yet ready to grow internationally. As our financial controller, you provide critical expertise and support to help us successfully expand. You manage financial risks and maximize performance. You work closely with our executive team to develop a financial strategy that aligns with our company's overall business goals. This involves forecasting financial performance, identifying growth opportunities, and developing budgeting and forecasting models. You also manage our financial operations, including accounting, cash management, financial reporting, and internal controls. You report directly to our CFO Jorrit and the two of you together build and maintain relationships with investors and other external stakeholders.
Your track record shows
+ A Bachelor in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
+ At least 5 years of experience in finance (fintech is considered an advantage).
+ Strong SQL experience - extra points for skills in querying large and complex datasets.
+ Confidence in a fast-paced environment.
+ Skills to make solid decisions in critical situations.
+ Fluency in Dutch and English is both necessary.
