Your role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate to join our Financial Institutions (Asia) team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in emerging markets. As an integral part of our team, you' support deal structuring and execution for new clients through desk research and site visits. You focus on supporting Investment Officers in designing new and innovative transactions, allowing you to develop into an all-round investment professional in a dynamic environment.
This position offers the flexibility to work on diverse Financial Institutions transactions across various countries in Asia and also other regions, adapting to capacity needs.
Specific tasks include:

• Preparing market and financial analyses of existing and new clients, sectors and countries.
• Writing financing proposals and change requests, and participating in meetings with the credit department and the investment committee.
• Preparing and actively participating in due diligence trips.
• Embarking on (frequent) travels for due diligence and transaction execution, embracing new cultures and perspectives.
• Building relationships with clients on an operational working level.
• Providing support to the Investment Officer throughout all stages of transaction execution, including contracting.
• Serving as a knowledgeable sparring partner for different team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Our offer

• Gross yearly salary of between EUR 55K – 65K (including holiday allowance and 13th month), depending on seniority, years of experience and background.

Your team

The Financial Institutions department provides funding to financial institutions with long-term goals that deliver strong impact for their local economies and communities in different regions. The Asia team, where this position is based, is a team of 13 very motivated individuals.
Our team comprises of:

• (Senior) Investment Officers who lead business and market development, and foster client relationships.
• (Senior) Associates who support Investment Officers in new transaction execution and perform in line with the profile description below.
• (Senior) Portfolio Analysts who manage relationships with existing clients.

Your background

• Master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years working experience of which at least 3 years’ experience in financial analysis and/or portfolio analysis.
• Working experience in an international environment and/or in emerging markets is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal is a strong requirement.
• Knowledge of Asian financial markets is an advantage.
