Front-end Software Engineer (Angular)

At ORTEC we build several products to support companies with their different planning challenges. The largest areas ORTEC is providing those products for, are routing and dispatch and rostering of employees. Each of our products is developed and maintained by a cross-functional squad that work together with the Product Owner. For several squads building our cloud native solutions, we’re looking for experienced Front-end Software Engineers.
Our cloud native solutions are hosted on Microsoft Azure written in C# and Angular. Performance is key in our front-ends, which is why we use Angular with a heavy focus on leveraging all that Rx JS has to offer. This is often combined with websockets to provide live data updates to ensure our front-ends always show the latest data. An internal library with styling, components and utilities helps the developers to quickly and consistently build state-of-the-art front-ends.

Who are you

Angular, Rx JS and Type Script have no secrets for you. You know how to squeeze the last drops of performance from Angular, and you can also capture any expression with the correct typings. You are fluent when writing Rx JS flows. You can combine and transform all sorts of Observables and create new pure Observables from it. You have in depth experience with most of the Rx JS operators, you understand the available Subjects and their differences, and you hardly need the documentation to explain how they work.

Furthermore:

Have at least 5-8 years of relevant experience (especially with Angular and Rx JS).
Able to mentor and guide more junior colleagues in their development
Comfortable with handling high complexity.
Able to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
Willing to develop yourself continuously.
Conscientious in staying abreast of new developments.
Inquisitive, creative, and enthusiastic about sharing your ideas and know-how.
Holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or comparable
Willingness to take part in on-call duties to support our customers 24/7 (approx. 8 weeks per year). You will be generously compensated.
