About this vacancy

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Test Engineer with a strong background in hardware testing and Python scripting. In this role, you will focus on developing and executing Python-enhanced automated test solutions for cutting-edge hardware platforms, with an emphasis on systems featuring FPGA components. You will be responsible for both developing test scripts and conducting hands-on testing of electronic boards. Approximately 70% of your time will involve Python-enhanced testing, while the remaining 30% will focus on traditional board testing.

Python-Based Test Development (70% Focus)

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python to validate hardware functionality and performance.
• Implement Python-driven testing frameworks for continuous integration and automated testing.
• Develop Python modules to interface with test equipment and hardware under test.
• Analyze and troubleshoot test failures, working closely with hardware team to identify root causes.

Board Testing (30% Focus)

• Conduct hands-on testing and validation of hardware boards, including systems with FPGA components.
• Perform manual and automated testing of circuit boards, identifying hardware issues and ensuring all specifications are met.

Test and Validation Documentation

• Write detailed test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and provide data-driven recommendations to improve product performance.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware testing and validation, particularly with FPGA-based systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python for test enhancement, including experience in writing, maintaining, and debugging test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with hardware test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
• Strong programming skills in Python for hardware test automation.
• Strong understanding of hardware debugging, circuit analysis, and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
