As part of the R&D organization, The Global Digital group is committed to bring value-adding and game changing software solutions to our customers that help them with their success. Global Digital covers all software created in the MSD-EM related sites, globally over the world. Main R&D sites can be found in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), Bordeaux (France), Hillsboro (US), Brno (Czech). The Global Digital group is responsible for the complete software stack, from fpga to embedded and application software.

ICT Intern contributes to software design and software development, and collaborates with other team members in creating secure and reliable software solutions.

We are looking for a motivated ICT Engineer who is self driven; who connects easily to different engineers to understand their needs, and who is capable of developing scripts after some guidance/workshops.

Goal is to improve project management workflow scripts on top of our requirements/project management system (Jama) and to make connections to our Business Intelligence system, in order to improve useability worldwide.

The Assignment consists of:

Extending the functionality of jama to facilitate further automation of project management activities Improvement of performance and efficiency of using jama Api’s and extending functionality of scripts

First step in the assignment is to follow some training in the API which will be used, added with online trainings (Python), and internal support which will help you to get started.

Duties and responsibilities

Work in an agile way (start with small solution, deploy, and extend).
Developing script - applications (coding, programming); Python knowledge is a pre, but support is available in form of workshops to get going.
Debugging and testing implemented scripts.
Integrating scripts in our development environment (including to connect these to our BI environment).
Documenting the essentials.
Support deploying scripts across organization.
Solving technical issues.
Collaborating with diverse engineers/project managers.
Develop additional scripts by connecting to these engineers/ project managers (there are a lot of ideas throughout the organization).

Requirements and qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) or related area.
Experience with various programming languages.
Initiative-taking/ self driven.
Eager to learn.
Ability to interact with diverse groups (software engineers, tech leads, project managers).
Direct and pragmatic.

Location will be Eindhoven, Netherlands
