ABOUT THE JOB

As a Financial Controller, you will oversee all accounting-related activities, including high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and finance functions. You will drive improvement initiatives and conduct in-depth analysis of actual results versus forecasts, identifying hidden opportunities and risks. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing and coordinating external vendors who support us with accounting, payroll, and other financial activities. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of operating budgets, oversee financial reports, and ensure smooth payroll operations.

WHat you'll be doing

• Reviewing and analyzing financial bookings.
• Leading the month-end closing process.
• Preparing weekly management reports.
• Preparing and enhancing monthly financial reports and analyses.
• Overseeing internal cost allocations, budgeting, and the preparation of financial statements.
• Supporting the year-end financial statement process.
• Managing relationships with external vendors for accounting, payroll, and other financial services to ensure effective collaboration and high-quality outcomes.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Enhancing financial administration and internal controls.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes.
• Monitoring risks, liquidity, and working capital.
• Advising management with data-driven insights and recommendations.

about you

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, with a minimum of four years of experience as a Controller.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Proven expertise in management control cycles, cost tools, and financial analysis.
• An interest in CRM and IT systems, with a desire to work with modern solutions like Salesforce.
• Experience in managing relationships with external vendors, ensuring effective coordination and alignment with internal financial goals.
• A high energy level and a “get-things-done” attitude.
• The ability to adapt quickly to changes and work effectively with diverse teams across different organizational levels in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English and Dutch, both spoken and written (German is a plus but not essential).
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
