The People & Culture department of Greenpeace International is offering a paid internship for a student or recent graduate who wants to support our People & Culture Insights work. We are looking for someone who is available to join us from towards the end of January, 2025, for a period of six months.
You will be working in a distributed team of experienced HR specialists, supporting the function in the department as well as the global Greenpeace network. You will be working 60% to 80% of your time with the P&C insights function, and the rest of your time with the Wellbeing & Engagement function, on projects with a people analytics focus.
Your main project will be to support the annual workforce report in all its aspects - data collection, data cleaning, analysis, reporting and dashboarding, and data archiving. Other projects you will support will include the upkeep of our knowledge management tool, and various wellbeing and engagement initiatives through the use of a data informed approach.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:

Recent degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrable knowledge and interest in HR and People Analytics, with a desire to further develop skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with dashboarding tools and SQL is a plus.

Basic understanding of statistical tools and data analysis.

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, remote environment.

Digital literacy skills: The ability to learn and utilise our digital platforms to successfully perform the role function (familiarity with G-Suite, Slack and Zoom is an advantage)

Demonstrable support for and belief in the Greenpeace network core aims and values.

The internship is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for a period of six months. Ideally, we are looking for an intern to start in early 2025. Interns receive 800 euros net as a monthly stipend. As of the time of this advert, our office in Amsterdam is open and the internship can be a combination of virtual and in-person from the GPI office.
It is a unique chance to experience working in a large not-for-profit international organisation. You will experience the complexities of working in an international environment and develop your understanding of the differences in HR operations and best practices around the globe. This internship will expand your knowledge of managing HR data in an international context.
You will receive real experience in managing datasets, data cleaning, data processing and analysis. You will learn how to use dashboarding tools and how to share your findings effectively. You will have the chance to familiarise yourself with SQL and use it in practice.
The internship will include weekly mentorship from senior member(s) of staff. You will have the opportunity to develop in your preferred area of expertise (to be discussed further with intern). We will also support you in building your network, and help you in preparing for your next steps after the internship.
You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff.
