De Regt Cables is -and has been- a prominent name in the design and manufacture of Custom-engineered, specialty, dynamic or static cable solutions used in subsea applications. These have been applied in many areas, including the Oil & Energy sector, Defence, Seismic Exploration, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's) and Renewable Energy projects. What are you going to do?

It is your job to ensure that the production plan is realized with the machines, people and resources available, in a safe and respectful environment. You can convert the production plan into the correct organization of work among the team members and monitor its correct implementation and performance. Safety, quality and costs are the most important things to steer on. Performance indicators are monitored daily, and progress is discussed during the morning meeting with the Production Manager. Together with the Maintenance team you ensure that the machines are in top condition. You ensure work instructions are up to date and the training of the operators matches the requested machine planning.

During the week you monitor the realization of the production plan, but you mainly pay attention to you team and their development, facing the problems that are experienced and look for solutions. You check the time spent and time registration of your employees and you maintain the personnel system with, for example, absenteeism and development information. You manage and motivate team members. You regularly consult with you team and inform them about topics in the organization.

You are a role model in the areas of safety and quality and involve employees in this. You come up with improvements and contribute actively to their implementation. You are not afraid to intervene when deviations occur from safety or quality standards.

In this role you report to the Production Manager.

What do we expect from you?

The most important thing is that you live in the Netherlands and speak the Dutch language. Furthermore, you are willing to work in 2 shifts and you are good with computers. You have an eye for detail and a great sense of responsibility. You are a self-starter and take actions to solve problems with concrete solutions.

HBO work- and thinking level
>3 years’ experience in Production environment (shopfloor)
>3 years’ experience in leadership role
Demonstrated experience in coaching, training and leadership skills
Knowledge of Continuous Improvement programs and methods
Clear communication style combined with good people management skills
Safety focused
Experience with, or feeling for cultural change
Good knowledge of the English language
